Massage FAQ

What Should I Expect During My First RMT Appointment?

Your RMT will conduct an assessment to understand your medical history, pain areas, and treatment goals. They will then design a tailored massage plan, which may include therapeutic techniques, stretches, corrective exercises and advice for self-care at home.

How Often Should I see an RMT?

Frequency depends on your condition, goals, and overall health. For acute injuries, treatments may be 1–2 times per week initially. For chronic pain or maintenance, sessions may be spaced every 2–4 weeks. Your RMT will create a personalized treatment plan based on your needs.

How Does Massage Therapy Help with Pain Management?

Massage Therapy improves blood flow, relaxes muscles, reduces tension, and promotes natural healing processes. It can be effective for chronic pain, sports injuries, headaches, and postural issues.

Is Massage Therapy Covered By Insurance or Health Benefits?

Yes! Most extended health insurance plans provide coverage for RMT services. Coverage varies by plan, so it’s best to check with your provider. We can typically bill directly, or will provide you with fully detailed invoices for you to submit!
